Mary Hoover

Due to the COVID-19 mandate within our state, the family of Mary Watkins Hoover age 92 has requested a private service.  The Hoover family appreciates your calls and prayers during this time.

Mrs. Hoover passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Kershaw Health in Camden.  She was born in Nichols the daughter of the late Dr. James Edwin and Fannie Watkins.  She was a longtime member of the True Light Church of Christ.  Mrs. Hoover worked at Reeve's Brothers, Kendall and owned an operated Hoover Furniture in the Turkey Creek area of Bishopville.  She loved gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lyndy (Kathy) Hoover, Cassatt, Dennis Hoover, Cassatt, Angela Hoover, Bethune, Audrey Hoover, Bethune; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Hoover, Sr., son, Tommy Hoover, siblings, Tommy Watkins, Jack Watkins, Billy Watkins and Frances Zecher.
