Graveside services for Mary Ann McCaskill Tomlinson age 80, widow of William "Billy" Alexander Tomlinson will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm from the Lynchburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pastor Jim Ridenhour, Pastor Tommy McDonald and Chaplain Eddie Strickland will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home and Crematory of Bishopville. Visitation will be immediately after the services at the First Baptist Church of Lynchburg Fellowship Hall. The family will be meeting at the residence of Zan Tomlinson, 1599 SC Hwy 341 South, Lynchburg, SC anytime on Tuesday for friends to stop by.
Mrs. Tomlinson passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the McLeod Hospice House with her children by her side. She was born in Bishopville the daughter of the late Willie Duncan and Marjorie Barnes McCaskill. She was a graduate of Bishopville High School and Coker College. She was a member of St. Matthew UMC in Lee County until she was married, she then became a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynchburg, where she attended and served as a financial secretary until her health declined in recent years. She was a homemaker and kept the books for the family farm for many years. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and loved shopping for bargains.
Left to Cherish her memory are her daughter, Meredith (Jerry) Williams, Lillington, NC; son, Zan (Mary Adele) Tomlinson, Lynchburg, grandchildren, Eli Tomlinson, Lee Williams, Mazie Tomlinson and John Duncan Williams.
Memorials may be made to the Lynchburg Presbyterian Cemetery, C/O Watson Tolson, 104 Tolson Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to all the staff at the McLeod Hospice House. Their love and dedication to our mother was truly a blessing.
