Martha DeHart

Martha Ann DeHart a devoted wife of 57 years to Warner DeHart and mother to Shawn, Mike and Patrick. Martha Ann DeHart, 78, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2016. Born in New Bloomington, Ohio on April 13, 1938, she was the daughter of Bertha and Loren Kalb. While raising three children she went back to school and after years of hard work graduated from MUSC with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1985. She worked for 30 years at The Thad E. Saleeby Center... as a nurse before retiring. She was active member of the Women Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 53. She will be remembered for her independent style of strength, convictions, responsibility and generosity.

She will be missed dearly by her husband, Warner DeHart; daughter, Shawn DeHart-Fletcher of Hartsville, son, Mike of Columbia and seven grandchildren. The family is very grateful to Carolina Hospital System for their diligent care, especially the love and kindness of all her personal caregivers.
