Marjorie Lee Hutchin

Marjorie Logsdon Hutchin went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 26, 2022. She joins her loved ones who trusted in Christ as their Savior. Born in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, on February 27, 1928, she was the daughter of Dean and Velma Logsdon.   Preceding her in death are her parents, her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Hutchin, her daughter Marcie Davis, and her brother Duane Logsdon.

Marjorie accepted Christ as her Savior in her 20’s and her life changed almost immediately.  She led her son and daughter to the Lord and sought to teach them to love the Lord wholeheartedly.  Many in our family can attribute their faith in Christ to her testimony.

She is best known as a servant of Christ who would do anything she could to meet needs and share her faith in Christ.  She taught women’s Bible studies, Good News Clubs, and Sunday School wherever she lived throughout the country.  Women sought her out for her godly counsel and she was a mentor to many. She was truly a “good and faithful servant!”

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Carol Schumacher (Don) of Lake Forest, California,  her son, Kris Bjorgen (Jennifer), stepdaughters Victoria Lynch (Stewart) and Stephanie Marin, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews who will miss their loving “Auntie Marge.”  Her many friends, including those with whom she volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, are rejoicing with her now and are reminded by her life to live their lives in service to Christ.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Worthington will officiate. Burial will be later at the Florence National Cemetery. Visitation will be following the service at the funeral home.

“A life so beautifully lived, should be beautifully remembered.”

Norton Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the Hutchin family.
