Marcy Parnell

Hartsville, S.C. Marcy Lynn Mozingo Parnell of Hartsville died Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Francis W. and L. Margaret Mozingo and widow of Bobby A. Parnell. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Thursday, March 20,2014, at 4:00 pm at the First Church of God of the Reformation in Hartsville with the Rev. John Kakish officiating. The family will receive friends immediate following the service at the church.Marcy was a graduate of Hartsville High School and an avid Clemson Tiger fan. Being the epitome of a true Southern lady, she devoted her life to caring for others and welcomed many into her home to enjoy her gift of conversation, hospitality and home cooking. A sweet soul with a strong Christian faith, Marcy had a gracious attitude and generous nature. Her devotion as Shorty enabled her to selflessly care for her husband through an extended illness; and, as Granny she was quick to tell you how wonderful her grandchildren are. She was a loving mother, sister and friend who will be missed terribly and is now healed and rejoicing in heaven.She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Brian) Bedard, grandchildren Elizabeth Gainey, Julia Gainey, Timothy Bedard, Adam Bedard and Jessica Bedard. Brothers Larry (Anne) Mozingo, Richard Mozingo and Scott Mozingo. In-laws E.J. (Nancy) Parnell, Janice (Lyn) Sims and seven nephews.
