Funeral services for Malcolm (Boe) Starling age 65 will be held Friday at 9:30 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Burial will be at 11:00 am at the Florence National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Rev. Donnie Faulkenbury will officiate. Visitation will be anytime Thursday between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Starling was born in Chesterfield a son of the late Calhoun and Annie Dixon Starling. He served two years in the army and retired from the National Guard after 24 years of service. He also worked at the South Carolina Department of Corrections for 20 years and also at Klopman Mills.

Surviving are his wife, Earnie Lee Teal Starling, Society Hill; two sons, Andrew (Jennifer) Chisholm, Gaffney and Cameron Starling, Society Hill; three grandchildren, Maggie Chisholm, Gaffney, D.J. Chisholm, Gaffney and Jeremy Chisholm, Gaffney; three brothers, Edward (Sara) Starling, Society Hill, Robert (Lennie) Starling, Society Hill and Pete Starling, Patrick; one sister, Joyce (Travis) Byrd, Society Hill. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Wilson Chisholm.
