Lola Mae Tucker "Scooter" James

Mrs. Lola Mae Tucker “Scooter” James, 75, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 4^th, 2023, while at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

Her service will be conducted at 1:00 on Saturday afternoon, January 7^th, 2023, from Clyde Church of God with Bishop Daniel Poston officiating.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

A native of Society Hill, Mrs. James was a daughter of the late John Wilson & Julia Keith Tucker.  Lola worked with Carolina Pines in both the hospital and Medical Group for 25 years and before that, she was affiliated with Martins Jewelry and Economy Drug.  She loved spending time with her family, grilling out, and attended Clyde Church of God.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Frank Wayne James, Sr. of the home; children, Rhonda Waynette (Tommy) Oates and Frank Wayne (Barbie) James, Jr. both of Hartsville; grandchildren: Nick Oates, Fara James, Jesse James; siblings, Gladys (Don) Stephenson, Carolyn (Courtney) Stokes, Franky Tucker; sister-in-law, Lois Tucker; brother-in-law, Julius Loflin; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: James Wilson “Buck” Tucker, Henry Patrick “Buddy” (Lucy) Tucker, Charles Randolph “Randy” Tucker, Wilma Atlas “At” Loflin, and Lois Jean Poston.
