Mrs. Lillie “Kate” Byrd Campbell, 86, passed away on June 30, 2023, at her residence.
    Mrs. Campbell was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Mr. John C. and Nina Kate Byrd.  She was an active member of the Marion Church of God for 66 years.
  She retired from Raytex after 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, B.W. Campbell, and 5 brothers, John, Leon, Kenneth, Tom and Cordie Byrd.  
Surviving is her son Ronnie (Faye) Campbell, daughter Wendy (Burke) Hoffman, 8 grandchildren Brian (Tammy) Campbell, Ashley Springs, Doug (Ileshia) Hoffman, Jessica Simmons, Josh (Temple) Gardner: 13 great grandchildren Hailey and Ashlyn Springs, Chad and Chase Campbell, Corey and Alexis Simmons, Shiloh Blackwell, DJ Hoffman, Rianne McCathern, Rayne Fulton; Layla, Baylon and Renleigh Gardner and one sister Betty (James) Gerald and several nieces and nephews.  
Visitation will be July 3, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Marion Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm
. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
