Leon Hatchell

Funeral services for Leon Hatchell, age 80 will be held Tuesday at 3:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Teddy Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 1-3 pm at the funeral home.

Leon was born in Hartsville a son of the late Evander and Connie Mae Campbell Hatchell. He enjoyed body work on cars and owned Hatchell's Trlucking. Leon loved to visit the Mountains. He was faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved Christmas Time and this Christmas he will spend it with his Lord.

Surviving are four daughters: Veverly Leviner, Brenda (Danny Ray) Davis, Tammy (Aquilino) Avalas and Susan (Andy) Winburn all of Hartsville; two sons, Velvete (Lisa) Hatchel and Elvery (Nancy) Hatchell, both of Hartsville; ten grandchildren, Sim (Dianna) Tyner, Courtney Hatchell, Jill Aistrop, Helen Ann Hatchell, Joey Hatchell, Michael (Morgan) Gilbert, Maria Gilbert, Anjelica Vidales, Kelsey (Blake) Oneal and Amelia Winburn all of Hartsville, 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy & Linda Hatchell; six brothers, Roland, J.E., Fred, Lawrence, Bill and G.W. Hatchell; three sisters, Pauline Wells, Marie Hatchell and Jerilyn Hatchell.
