Hartsville, SC Services for Laurin Jeter Byrd, Jr. age 60 will be held Wednesday at 3:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Charles McLendon will officiate. Entombment will be in the Westview Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Tuesday 5-7pm at the funeral home. Jeter passed away May 25, 2013. He was born in Hartsville the son of Mollie Stephens Byrd and the late Laurin Jeter Byrd, Sr. Jeter owned and operated Byrd Motors. He was a licensed funeral director and real estate agent. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. Surviving are his mother of Hartsville; wife, Barbara M. Byrd, Hartsville; son, Laurin Jeter (Kip) Byrd, III, Hartsville; sister, Linda G. Byrd, Hartsville; brother, Rodney (Beth) Byrd, Hartsville; mother in law, Alma J. Christiansen, Hartsville; father in law, Lonnie W.
