Larry Rhodes

Mr. Larry Dwight Rhodes, 68, of Hartsville, passed away Saturday morning, May 20th, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Richard Mixon with burial following in Westview Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Also, the family invites friends to visit with them on Sunday afternoon, from 4-6 p.m. at the home, located at 833 Summer Place Drive in Hartsville.

Mr. Rhodes was born in Hartsville, a son of the late James Thomas & Amanda Shumate Rhodes. He was a machinists by trade, but loved fishing and especially enjoyed being a part of his hunting club.

Surviving are his sisters: Judy Mixon and husband, Richard of Marshall, Arkansas, Marsha Chavis and husband, Allen of Hartsville, Betty Huggins of Hartsville, and Sylvia Woods of Pawleys Island. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: J.T. Rhodes, Jr., Elvis Rhodes, Jimmy Rhodes, Rosene Usher, Brenda Tolson, and Deloris Rhodes.
