Kip Byrd

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laurin Jeter “Kip” Byrd, III.  We will honor Kip’s request to have a private service.

Kip passed away on Monday, May 08, 2023.  He was the son of Barbara Mozingo Byrd and the late Laurin Jeter Byrd, Jr.  Kip worked at Byrd Motors for many years with his dad, he later Owned and Operated KBM, he loved playing Fantasy Football.  He proved during his sickness that he was a fighter, and he fought to the very end.  He enjoyed being outside, he loved his animals, especially his faithful dogs, Sugar and Pumpkin.

Left to cherish his memory are his mom, Barbara Byrd, Hartsville; his fiancé, Farrah Byrd and her daughter Roxi, both of Hartsville; aunt and uncle, Debra and Sam Ingram, Hartsville.
