Katherine Hutchinson Rivers

Katherine Hutchinson Rivers age 90 went to her Heavenly Home on Nov. 8 while at her home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Ladell Humphries and Rev. Brad Griese will officiate. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rivers was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late John Charles Hutchinson and Ellen Gainey Hutchinson. She worked at Sonoco Products Company and retired from the Red Fox Apparel. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Kay Watford, Hartsville and Kim (Willard) Allison, Cheraw; two sons, Joey (Cathy) Rivers, Hartsville and Ray (April) Rivers, Bennettsville; one sister, Louise Pritchard, McBee; a very special friend, Ruth Hoffman, Hartsville; six grandchildren, Heather (Dub) Smith, Haylea Powers, Kat (Matt) Roberts, Aleisha (Richard) Ainesworth, Trey (Beth) Allison and Rachel (Brad) Wright; 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph King Rivers; five brothers, Luther, Grover, Blease, Frank and Bill Hutchinson and two sisters, Maggie Howle and Lanell Anderson; one grandchild, Jacob Haithcock.
