Judy Rogers Walters

Funeral services for Judy Rogers Walters, age 71 will be held Sunday at 3:00 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Rev. James E. Beck, Jr. and Rev. Jimmy Beck will officiate. Burial will be in the New Market Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 pm on Saturday at Norton Funeral Home.

Judy was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Furniss Rogers and Helen Hatfield Rogers. She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She retired from the S.C. DMV after 12 years of service. People spoke of her as a sweet and kind person and she loved her family. She was a good cook, especially biscuits.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice (Kelly) Woodham, Hartsville and Jennifer  (Robby) Baker, Hartsville; four grandchildren, Robby (Sarah) Baker, Hartsville, Evan (Victoria) Baker, Lake City, Emily Woodham, Hartsville and Hannah Woodham, Hartsville; three great grandchildren, Tripp Baker, Hartsville, Blaire Baker, Lake City and Benjamin Turner, Hartsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene Walters; sister and brother in law, Estelle and Ronnie Gainey; one great grandchild, Gabriel Baker.
