J.T. Shaw

Mr. J.T. Levern Shaw, 74, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday evening, May 24th, 2017, at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in Whispering Pines Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home

Mr. Shaw was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Vance German & Sally Rogers Shaw. J.T. enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest love with his family and especially his beloved grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Janice Gainey Shaw of the home; children: Susan Poole, Tammy Priest, Michael Shaw, and Annette Atkinson all of Hartsville; grandchildren: Jeffrey Poole, Jessica Shaw, Lisa Poole, Kattie Anderson, Taylor Blackwell, April Shaw, Cody Shaw, Corey Shaw; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Jay Shaw and Jamie Shaw.
