Norton Funeral Home Hartsville, SC Mr. Joseph (Joe)Capobianco, IV age 51 of Hartsville, South Carolina passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2016. Joe was born in Catskill, New York to his parents Joseph and Diane Capobianco. He is survived by his beautiful wife Leslie of 21 years and 15 year old son Dalton. He is also survived by his three sisters, Jill (James) Giammattei, Lisa (Marlin) Irvis, and Lara (Vincent) Serro; his South Carolina family, Manning Privette, Bob and Carolyn Childress, Sam (Laura) Privette and Kelley (Rocky) Radcliff; many nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Catskill High School and received a full tennis scholarship to Francis Marion College. He then pursued his passion for tennis at the Hartsville Country Club, where he became the head USPTA teaching pro for 28 years. Joe played the game, taught the game and devoted his entire life to spreading his love of tennis to all ages. Joe was awarded Pro of the Year twice. He was a steadfast pillar of the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Joes life will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Hartsville. Rev. George Atkins, Jr. will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow the services.
