View Remembrance Video Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Joseph Benjamin (Joe) Arant, age 82, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Elder Jeff Laffidy, Bishop Mark Ensign and Elder Philip Braddock will officiate. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Joe was born in Lancaster a son of the late John D. & Connie Parker Arant. He was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, was retired as Assistant Post Master in Hartsville, he loved to play golf and fish for flounder and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are three children, Deb (Donald) Reeves, Weaverville, N.C., Gwen (Jimmy) Bigham, Asheville, NC. and Johnny Arant, Summerville; one brother, Ray (Beth) Arant, Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Kara Irani, Rachel Moeller, Britt Arndt, John Bigham, Jacob Bigham, Carol Ann Arant and Lauren Arant.
