Jody Thomas Winburn

Hartsville, SC

     It is with heavy hearts that we, the Winburn family announce the passing of Jody Thomas Winburn. Jody passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 11th, 2024, at the age of 53.

     Mr. Winburn was born in Hartsville, a son of Jerry & Jean Winburn. With a larger-than-life personality, Jody was the epitome of a true friend. Anything he put his mind to, he could accomplish. He took great pride in anything he did, but his true pride and joys were his children and grandchildren. Material things meant nothing to him, his family and friends were all that mattered. 

     Our family will cherish his memories forever, including his daughters, Kendall (Brandon) Dosher of Supply, NC and Terri Jean Winburn of Zebulon, NC; grandchildren, Tristan Winburn and Thea Dosher of Supply, NC; parents of Hartsville; brother, Kenny (Michelle) Winburn of Hartsville; nephew, Bradley (Kennedy) Winburn of Hartsville; grandmother, Kathleen “Kat” Winburn of Hartsville; stepchildren: Trisha, Jae, Destiny, Megan, Gracie, Crystal, and Trevor.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie L. Winburn and maternal grandparents, Melvin & Lunez Rowe.

     His service will be conducted at 3:00 on Sunday afternoon, September 15th, 2024, by the graveside of Magnolia Cemetery with Pastor Jim Murray officiating. The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside.
