Joan Huggins

Mrs. Joan L. Huggins, 75, of Hartsville, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 3^rd, 2022, while at the McLeod Hospice House.

The family will be receiving friends Monday evening, December 5^th, 2022, from 5-7 at Norton Funeral Home.

A native of Hartsville, Mrs. Huggins was a daughter of the late Junius & Stella Caddell Lundy.  Joan loved watching the Warriors play; she and her sister would stay on the phone during the games to talk about what was happening.  She also loved her family and her dog, Rusty. 

Surviving are her children, Lori (Gene) Davis of Hartsville and Jonathan (Amanda) Truett of Hartsville; grandchildren: Karley Pratt of Spring Lake, NC, Elana Davis of Hartsville, Xander Truett of Hartsville, Gabby Alvarado of Hartsville, and Hunter Truett of Hartsville; great-grandchild, Oliver Gray Simmons of Spring Lake, NC; sisters: Gayle Blackwell of McBee, Judy (Kenny) Brooke of McBee, and Elaine (Thomas) Teal of Patrick; sister-in-law’s, Becky Pridgeon of Hartsville and Betty Jo Turner of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law, Robert Huggins of Kershaw; also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin “Buck” Huggins; and stepson, Lorriane Huggins.
