Jimmy Gainey

Hartsville, S.C. Memorial services for Jimmy Laverne Gainey age 76, who passed away November 28, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 at Clyde Church of God. Rev. Don Childers will officiate. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 pm at the residence at 3446 West Old Camden Road, Hartsville. Jimmy was born in Hartsville a son of the late Rev. Doc Gilson Gainey, Sr. & Vernell Outlaw Gainey. He attended Clyde Church of God. Surviving are one daughter, Linda (Jimmy) Smith, Hartsville; two sons, Franklin L. Gainey, Sr. Elgin and James L. (Karen) Gainey, Hartsville; one step son, Harold (Pam) Richardson, Emporia, VA; two bro thers, Doc (Jeanette) Gainey, Hartsville and Timothy (Elizabeth) Lackey, Hartsville; two special sister in laws, Shirley Jeanette Gainey, Hartsville and Margaret Gainey, Darlington; 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Poston Gainey; one brother Eugene Gainey. Norton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gainey family.
