Jessie Lorraine (Pat) Kissiah, age 91 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23 at his residence surrounded by his family when he crossed over to the beautiful Streets of Gold. A celebration of life service will be held Monday July 25 at 5:00 pm at the Lake Robinson Rescue Squad Building, 2364 West Old Camden Road, directed by Norton and Funeral Home. A private burial will be held later. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Pat was the second born child of John H. and Edith Kissiah born on, July 11th, 1931. He was married to Martha “Lib” Smith Kissiah, who he loved dearly. They shared three children and had a hand in raising several more. Early on the family sang at churches and on a radio show as, The Pine Ridge Singers. He also, preached and stepped on many toes with his sermons. Pat loved the Lord.
Pat worked at Sonoco for many years retiring from the company. He also had a few side gigs. One was drilling wells with his partner, Nolan Adams. But outside of his family, his proudest accomplishment was, being one of the original founders of the Lake Robinson Rescue Squad and Pine Ridge Fire Department. He also helped start the Lake Robinson Rescue Dive Team and the Haunted House. He took great pride in helping anyone in need. He was well known in his, Pine Ridge community. Though he only had two grandchildren, he was Pa Pat to a huge tribe. He was a mentor to many and always was " A BOSS". He would get the task done.
" A life so beautifully lived, should be beautifully remembered."
