Jeanette Huffman

Bishopville, S.C. Funeral services for Jeanette Brown Huffman, age 82, who passed away February 18, will be held Thursday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be following the service. Jeanette was born in Charleston, W. VA in 1929, the only child of Robert and Constance Watson Brown. She attended West Virginia University where she met the love of her life, Charlie Huffman, and received her B.S. simultaneously with her (Mrs.) degree. Settling in Pittsburgh, PA, she raised two children, Bob and Susan, and persued a career in research and development for a frozen food company and later as a dietician for Allegheny General Hospital. After retirement, Jan and Charlie moved to Port Richey, Fla. where they enjoyed an active lifestyle of boating, traveling,dancing, dining, and community activities. Animal lovers, she and Charlie always had a pet around and supported many animal charities. She was pre-deceased by her husband Charlie, who has been eagerly awaiting her arrival in the here after so they can continue their eternal romance. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan (Keith) Eckelberger, Bishopville; son, Bob (Kathi) Huffman, West Palm Beach, Fla., grandsons, Jesse (Liz) Helms, Pittsburgh, John (Aimee) Helms, Pittsburgh and numerous friends.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd. Suite L, Anderson, S.C. 29621. www.nortonfh.net
