Jeanette Hall

December 10, 1931 — September 1, 2016

A Celebration of Life services for Florence Jeanette Outlaw Hall age 84 will be held Saturday, September 10 at 2:00pm at The Kindom Hall in Camden, SC, 1285 Kershaw Highway, Camden, SC 29020. Mr. John Miller will officiate. Norton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hall family.

Florence Jeanette Outlaw Hall was one of 5 children born to Irby Outlaw and his wife Sallie Pate Outlaw. Jeanette Outlaw was born in Bishopville, SC on December 10, 1931. Her Brothers were the late Chapman and Wayne Outlaw, and her sisters Carolyn Outlaw Davis and Adonia Outlaw McClain. After a long illness, Jeanette died on September 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Francis Marion “Punch” Hall, son Patrick Steven Hall and daughter Glenda Elliott Hall. She is survived by her sisters Carolyn and Adonia, her son Marion Francis Hall, daughters Marsha Hall Stephens(Ripon) and Karen Lynette Hall Mangum, five grandchildren Jim, Charlie, Crystal, Ann and Matthew and 3 great-grandchildren Blake, Bryce and Brady; along with nieces and nephews.

Jeanette and Francis Marion Hall eloped on September 7, 1948, went back to their respective homes, and didn't tell their parents for two weeks. To help support her growing family, Jeanette went to work for Bishopville Manufacturing then for Kendall until her retirement. After living in Westville, SC, they finally settled in Lucknow, SC.

Jeanette first came into contact with Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1967. She studied the Bible with our dear sister, Norma Hoffmeister. She was subsequently baptized in Columbia, SC on March 13,1969. She was a member of the Camden Congregation for 49 years. She became a full-time minister in 1999.She was known in the congregation for her unconventional style of driving by all who dared to ride with her.

She remained active in life and the ministry despite her declining health. Jehovah God always remained first in her life. Jeanette will be greatly missed by all. But she kept strong her faith of a resurrection as promised at John 5:28,29. Now is a time to mourn but soon by God’s will there will be a time for rejoicing.
