We are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Jasper (Jack) Floyd Dixon, Sr. Mr. Dixon passed away on April 13 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Dr. Ernest Winburn and Rev. Paul Coward will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Jack was born in Hartsville a son of the late Ervin Dixon and Grace Caulder Dixon. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, retired from Sonoco Products Company after 35 years of service and was a member of the Old Timers Club. He was an avid Gamecock Fan and served his country in the National Guard. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father and was Pa to his Grandchildren . He was a graduate of Hartsville High School where he played Football and loved to visit and go camping at the Beach.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sylvia Livingston Dixon, Hartsville; daughters, Robin Dixon (David) Loman, Columbia, Lori Dixon McKay, Lamar ; one son, Jack (Rhonda) Dixon, Jr., Hartsville; six Grandchildren, Brandon Hawkins, Tradd (Taylor) Loman, Caley Hawkins, Tristan Dixon, Garrett Loman and Zachary Dixon; one brother, Heyward (Maxine) Dixon, Hartsville; two sisters, Virginia (Ronnie) Linton, Hartsville and Brenda Gandy, Sumter; one sister in law, Joyce Dixon, Hartsville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers EJ Dixon and Travis Dixon; two sisters, Betty Jean Howle and Tina Lloyd; his son in law, Gregory McKay; and brother in law, Leon Gandy.
