Ladd McFarland

Ladd McFarland, born on July 20, 1982, passed away on December 19, 2024, at Prisma Health in Columbia, SC. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose vibrant personality and extraordinary talents touched the lives of many.

Ladd was well-known for his exceptional skills as a salesperson; he possessed a remarkable ability to sell even the most unexpected items, displaying an innate talent that set him apart in his field. His photographic memory allowed him to excel in both his personal endeavors and professional pursuits. Beyond his work, Ladd's humor and intelligence made him a joy to be around, drawing others in with his engaging personality.

He graduated from Francis Marion University, Ladd had a deep passion for the South Carolina Gamecocks, a team he loved and supported wholeheartedly.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Rodney and Kathy McFarland of Hartsville; his children, Jackson McFarland and Kenzie "Roo" McFarland of Darlington; and his sister, Adria McFarland (Saban Burzic) of Columbia. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, including his special friend Chip Mozingo, his nephews Brayden and Collin, and his niece Najla. Additionally, he is survived by beloved aunts and uncles: Tanya and Ronnie McDonald, Mark and Jan Terrell, Martha Bryant, and Jimmy and Iris McFarland, as well as Bobby and Dixie McFarland. He also leaves behind special cousins who were like sisters to him, Barbie Bassham and Jennifer Altman, along with several other cherished cousins.

A visitation of remembrance will be on December 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Norton Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Magnolia Cemetery in Hartsville at 3:00 PM.  Pastor Kevin Walters will officiate.
