James "Papoo" Rabon

Celebration of Life for James (Papoo) Earl Rabon age 58 will be held 2:00pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the residence of Ashley Rabon Ellison, 15 Dogwood Spring Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.

Mr. Rabon passed away on Sunday August 29, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side.  He was the son of the late Wade and Violet Mae Melton.  He loved music, he as a self taught musician, he was  talented in playing many instruments.  For many years he was in a Gospel Band that traveled to different venues to play.  He loved his wife, daughters and his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Frankie Herron Rabon, Camden; daughters, Ashley Almetta Ellison and her husband, David Ellison, Jr., Bishopville, Lindsey Walker Rabon, Camden; grandchildren, Joshua James Ellison, Jeremy Johna Ellison, Jacob Jericho Ellison, Violet Adlaide Rabon-Gainey and Scarlet Arrora Rabon-Gainey.

He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Terry and Juda Ellison.
