James (Jimmy) Johnson

Memorial services for James Carroll (Jimmy) Johnson age 79 will be held Friday at 11:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Sifford will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be following the service at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born in Hartsville a son of the late Carroll E. & Nora Chavis Johnson. He was former owner of Johnson Auto Parts for 45 years. He was an avid Golfer and loved to exercise.  He was a member of the Red Fez Club and was a Shriner.

Surviving are three sons, Timothy C. Johnson, Florence, Steven J. (Gaybe) Johnson, Charlotte and Christopher (Elizabeth) Johnson, Hartsville; three grandchildren, Luke Johnson, Hartsville, Gray Johnson, Charlotte and Rob Johnson, Hartsville; one sister, Edna Morris, Hartsville; Special Niece, Cheryl (Billy) Fields, Hartsville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Quinn Johnson; one son, Brian Joseph Johnson; two brothers, Otis and J.C. Huggins and a sister Mary McMcLain.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
