James David Hopkins

Funeral services for Mr. James David Hopkins, Sr. age 67 will be held Tuesday at 4:00pm at Greenhill Church Of God Of Prophecy.  Pastor Jerry Gainey and Pastor Daniel Poston will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  The family will be meeting at Margaret Cranford’s residence for the visitation and viewing  anytime from Sunday afternoon until service time on Tuesday, 1212 Sandwood Drive, Hartsville, SC 29550.

David passed away Friday, October 26, 2018.  He was born in Hartsville to the late Braden and Nancy Hall Hopkins.  He attended Greenhill Church of God of Prophecy.  David had worked at Woods Motor Company, Archie’s Top Shop and he retired from Dempsey Construction.  He enjoyed watching Nascar racing.

He is survived by daughters, Charla Hopkins, Hartsville, Nancy (Eric) Creel, Pamplico, Catherine (Winkie) Ford, Hartsville; son, James (Jessica) Hopkins, Jr.,  Hartsville; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brother, Vernon Hopkins, Hartsville, sisters, Margaret Cranford, Hartsville, Linda Cranford, Hartsville; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, J.B. Hopkins and his wife, Cathy Link.
