James Truett

Funeral services for James Hazel (Bud) Truett age 89 will be held Saturday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Hazel Mixon and Rev. Robbie Amerson will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Truett was born in Hartsville a son of Jessie & Emmie Mae Beasley Truett. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was retired from construction. He loved quail hunting and gardening and sharing the garden with his neighbors.

Surviving are one son, Jason Truett, Hartsville; one granddaughter, Amy Truett, Pennsylvania; two great grandchildren, Emmett and Nichols Adams; one sister, Lois Truett Amerson, Hartsville; very special friends, Gene and Carolyn Gilbert, Hartsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Reynolds Truett; two sons, James Richard Truett and Randall Jeffery Truett.
