James David (JD) Lewis age 89, went to his Heavenly Home on October 6 with his loving family by his side.
JD was born in Lydia a son of the late James Robert Lewis and Lila Pauline Lloyd Lewis. He was owner and operator of Frank’s Exxon for 50 years until his retirement. He was a member of the First Church of God of the Reformation where he served faithfully for several years.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy O’Neal Lewis, Hartsville; two sons, James (Misty Sims) Lewis, Hartsville and Roger (Kim) Lewis, Myrtle Beach; special daughter, Teresa Seebeck, Sumter; one sister, Emily Morris, Sumter; four grandchildren, Carlie Lewis, Hartsville, Peyton Lewis, Clemson, Madison (Trent) Leroux, Bishopville and Adrian Sims, Bishopville; two brother in laws, Joe Gainey, Hartsville and Tommy Young, Hartsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Corbett, Joan Gainey and Miriam Young
Memorial services will be held Sunday October 20, 2024 at 2:00 at the First Church of God of The Reformation. Rev. Ken Sifford will officiate. Visitation will be following the service.
