Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Jack J. Robbins, age 79, who passed away March 25, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Grover Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Jack was born in Hartsville a son of the late Calvin Clifton Robbins, Sr. & Sophia Inez Dixon Robbins. He was retired from Sonoco Products Co. after 47 years of service, was a member of the Old Timer Club, a Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Hartsville Rescue Squad for many years, member American Legion and loved to fish. After retirement he owned Jacks Playhouse where he loved to repair boat motors. Surviving are his wife, Dollie Mae Gainey Robbins, Hartsville; three daughters: Dawn (Marty) Martin, Hartsville, Lisa (Steve) Peavy, Hartsville, Cathy (David) Easter, Charleston; one grandson, Nic Martin, Hartsville; two brothers: James & Archie (Margie) Robbins, Hartsville; four sisters: Inez Burch, Sara Alexander, Peggy (Gene) Evans, Linda (Billy) Price, all of Hartsville; three sister in laws: Ann, Margaret and Ilene Robbins, all of Hartsville. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Cliff, Marion & Robert L. Robbins and two sisters: Lillian Gainey and Edna Freeman. www.nortonfh.net
