Norton Funeral Home Bishopville, SC Services for Ila Mae Brown Capell age 93 widow of Harold C. Capell, will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Community Bible Church. Rev. Will Cline and Rev. Charles Miller will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:30-2:00pm Saturday at Community Bible Churchs Fellowship Hall. On December 14, 2013 Ila Mae Capell was surrounded by her family as they sang her into glory to meet her Lord! She was born in Bishopville, SC the daughter of the late Henry and Ida Victoria Brown. Ila Mae appreciated music and loved singing hymns. She participated in various churches and most recently attended the Mizpah Baptist Church. Ila Mae and her husband owned and operated "Harold Capell General Merchandise" for 23 years (1959 - 1982). She also worked as a seamstress in several locations throughout her life. She enjoyed her home, especially her flower gardens. She loved family and was surrounded by a caring, supportive community. Surviving are her daughter, Alice Jean (William C.) Martel, Owls Head, ME; sister, Eunice (Junie) Capell, Camden; grandchildren, Renee Philbrook, Carmen Van Dusen, William H. Martel; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great Grandchildren; preceded in death by brothers, Norman Brown, Wilburn Brown; sisters, Edith Miller, Louise Rogers, Katherine Elmore. www.nortonfh.net
