Funeral services for Hellen Lee Teal Perdue, age 80 will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Brown Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Donnie Faulkenbury will officiate. Burial will be in the Brown Springs Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and friends may pay their respect and sign the guest book on Monday from 1:00 – 4:00 at  Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville.

Mrs. Perdue was born in Patrick a daughter of the late William Carl Teal and Ethel Tyner Teal. She was a faithful member of Brown Springs Baptist Church as long as she was able to attend. She retired from the Chesterfield Manufacturing Company after 30 years of service. She was the best mother ever.

Surviving are three daughters, Earnie Starling, Society Hill, Wanda (Mike) Smith, Lydia and Michelle Weatherford, Rockingham, N.C.; one son, Monroe “Buddy” (Judy) Tiller, Spartanburg; one sister, Ethelene Tyner, Patrick; one brother, C.E. “Buck” (Mary) Teal, Society Hill; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Perdue; one daughter, Elaine Boan; one brother, William Harvey Teal; three sisters, Nancy Louise Teal, Peggy Hill and Evelyn Teal; two grandsons, Michael Tiller and Matthew Chisholm.
