Graveside services of Remembrance for Gretchen Allen Parrott age will be held 3:00pm Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pastor Johnny McDaniel and Pastor Matt Walton will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Wednesday 1:30-2:30pm at Norton Funeral Home.

Gretchen passed away Monday, March 13, 2023.  She was born in Silver Spring, Maryland the daughter of Danny Harrison Allen and the late Rachel Hammett Allen.  She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Florence, SC, she graduated from Northeastern Community College in Sterling, CO.  Gretchen loved animals, Native American Culture, reading and was a collector of jokes.  Her church family was the center of her Universe. She lived a life of quiet kindness.

Left to cherish her memory are her dad, Dan Allen, Florence; aunt, Lois Yelton, Naples, FL; numerous special cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Parrott and her mother, Rachel Hammett Allen

Memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 510 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 and/or, Southwest American Indian Foundation, 100 West Coal Avenue, Gallup, NM, 87301.
