George Keith

Services for George Evander Keith age 65 will be held Wednesday, January 10 at 2:30pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home in Bishopville. Pastor Cecil Stevens, Bishop Mike Keith and Mr. Ronnie Watts will officiate. Burial will be in the Concord UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
George passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. He was born in Hartsville the son of the late Henry Lorison and Beatrice Anderson Keith. George graduated from Hartsville High School C/O 1972, he was a retired long distance truck driver. He loved sports and was an avid Gamecock fan. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was ordained to the office of Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood on August 21, 2011. Later in life, Mr. Keith attended Concord United Methodist Church in Lee County where many priceless friendships and bonds were formed.
Surviving are his daughter, Gwendolyn Keith (Thomas Wayne) Flowers, Elgin; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Olivia Flowers, Elgin; sisters, Sharon Richey, Hartsville, Robin Conder, Tigard, OR; step mother, Mary Haney Keith, Scranton; step brothers, Larry Haney, Hartsville, Eddie Haney, Johnsonville; step sisters, Shelba Oneal, Dovesville, Janet Rauch, Scranton, Brenda Mahon, Scranton, Donna Brown, Darlington, Tammy Campbell, Florence.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Dale Keith Bolton, his life partner, Fran Berry and a special friend to the family, Mamie Hunter.
The family would like to give a special thanks to McLeod Trauma Tower 4th floor , The Carriage House of Sumter, Swan Lake Dialysis and Bishopville Dialysis.
