Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Gary King, age 95, who passed away peacefully February 14 at his residence, will be held Sunday at 3:00 at Lakeview Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Hughes and Rev. Allen Lynchwill officiate. Burial will be in Darlington Memory Gardens directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Lakeview Family Life Center. Mr. King was born in Chesterfield County a son of the late Hudson and Pearl Blackwell King. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company after 32 years of service, was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he was a volunteer at the Lakeview Family Life Center and was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Bryant and Ann Arrowood, both of Hartsville; four grandchildren, David Warren, III, Myrtle Beach, Tamara (Philip) Crowley, Goose Creek, Kim (Chip) Clanton, Hartsville and Lee Bryant, Hartsville; two great grandchildren, Brandi (Chase) Wright, Columbia and Brandon Warren, Myrtle Beach; one great great grandchild, Kelen Crowley, Goose Creek. He was preceded in death by his wife of61 years, Geneva Parker King; one grandson, Darren Warren; brothers, Millard King, Tommy King, Sam King, Joe King, Hudson King; sisters, Edna Mixon Sally Blackwell, Virginia Mims, Mildred Davis, Genevie Leonhirth, Lou Easter Hudson and Malvera Watkins.The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Care of S.C. and Fred Denner for their loving care of Mr. King.
