Franklin "Frank" L. Gainey, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Franklin "Frank" L. Gainey, Jr..

Frank age 40 passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 while at the McLeod Hospice House.

He was born in Hartsville, SC the son of the late Franklin L. Gainey, Sr. and the late Sharon Lee Shelton.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his aunt, Linda Smith (Butch), Hartsville, brother, Raymond Gainey (Brittany), Georgia; uncle, James Gainey (Karen), Hartsville; special nephews; very special caregivers, Shirley Wallace and Janie Smith.

Memorial services will be held 4:00pm Friday, August 30 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Mr. Tommy Gainey, Pastor Russell Gainey and Pastor Trae Smoak will officiate.  A time of visitation will be held Thursday at the residence of Linda and Butch Smith, 3446 West Old Camden Road, Hartsville, SC 29550 from the hours of 5:00pm-8:00pm.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care, Black Creek Dialysis Center, Holly R.N., Dr. Martin, Dr. Brian Sponseller and all other staff who rendered care at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, also, Dr. Demarco, Tonya, Sharon, Niki, Jo, Mildred, Jessie and all other staff that rendered care at McLeod Hospice.  Special thanks to all ambulance transport staff at Heartline.
