Fannie Johnson

Mrs. Fannie Freeman Johnson of Society Hill, S.C., died March 25, 2015, at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, S.C.She was born in Chesterfield County on November 30, 1923, she was a daughter to Samuel and Geneva Wallace Freeman. Mrs. Johnson was a proud member of the Society Hill Lions Club and had just recently been named Lion of the Year. She had been retired for many years and even after her retirement had earned a Nursing Assistant Certificate. She was a loyal and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Society Hill/Cheraw Branch.She was married to William Purvis Pete Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1976. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Etheleen Freeman McNeil, Lily Freeman Bryant and Virginia Freeman Truluck; a brother, Harold Smith Freeman; and a nephew Samuel Howard Bryant.Also surviving are her nieces, Betty McNeil Mooneyhan of Cottontown, TN., Linda Diane Bryant of Clemmons, N.C., Pamela Margaret Bryant of Mocksville, N.C., Lynne Truluck Lefteris of High Point, N.C., and nephew, Bernie Thomas McNeil, Jr. of Thomasville, N.C.She loved her family and friends with all of her heart; Aunt Fannie will forever be missed, she was our last touch stone.Funeral will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville, S.C. Burial will follow in the LDS Cemetery at Society Hill, S.C.
