Everette Johnson

Mr. Everette Hope Johnson, 65, of Patrick, passed away Wednesday morning, February 7th, 2018, at the McLeod Hospice House.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Gaskin officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery and the family will be receiving friends Friday evening, from 5-7 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Edmond & Naomi Johnson.  Everette loved working in the yards, cutting grass, and going fishing.  He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and the Men of Intelligence Sunday School Class.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Kathy Gulledge Johnson; daughter, Callie Johnson; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Letitia Johnson Steen, Beverly Johnson Scott, Judith Johnson Stokes, Ashley Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Roger Johnson, and Mildred Johnson Leviner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Johnson’s memory to assist with funeral expenses to Norton Funeral Home at 1414 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, South Carolina 29550.
