Mathis and the late Ruby Gandy Mathis. Mrs. Massey is survived by her loving and devoted husband Hiram “Corky” Massey; sons DeWayne (Karen) Walters, Derrick (Brenda) Walters, and Travis (Marilyn) Walters; five grandchildren Matthew (Lindsay) Walters, Andrew (Katie) Walters, Brandon Walters, Rev. Mrs. Massey was a 1954 graduate of Hartsville High School and a long time member of the church and choir of Fourth Street Baptist Church. Throughout her life, Mrs. Massey was known to love roller-skating, children, music, and working outside in her yard. She enjoyed painting Christmas decorations that will now carry her memory forward in the homes of her loved ones. She also cherished the many animal friends who knew her house as their home. Most of all, she loved our Lord Jesus Christ and was blessed with a beautiful voice which she used to sing his praises all her life. Today she stands, singing in his presence.

The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice and Morrell Nursing Center for their compassion and care during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Agape Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Norton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Massey family.
