Emily Kirby Sullivan

Emily Kirby Sullivan, widow of Pastor Paul M Sullivan, died July 20, 2024 at her home in Brunswick, GA. She was 90 years old. She is survived by a son Mark Sullivan of Savannah, GA., a daughter Paula Wood (Richard) of Brunswick, GA and grandsons SSgt Wade Reaves of Columbus, GA and Stephen Reaves (Danielle) of Charlotte, NC.

Emily was born in Olanta, SC to the late Stephen James and Eugenia Thompson Kirby. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. After graduating from Olanta High School, she attended North Greenville Junior College receiving an Associate Degree in Education.

Emily served along side her husband in the ministry for over 50 years. She held positions as Missions leader, Sunday School Teacher, VBS teacher, and choir member.

A visitation will be held at Norton Funeral Home in Hartsville, SC on Friday July 26, 2024 from 5pm-7pm. Per Emily’s wishes, there will be a private family memorial service. She then will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery beside her husband Rev. Paul Martin Sullivan.
