Ellen Louise Pritchard

It is with sad hearts that the family of Ellen Louise Pritchard announce her passing. Mrs. Pritchard went to be with her Lord at 4:59 am on March 19, 2024.

Rev. John Griggs, Rev. Tom McCrea and Rev. Brad Griese will officiate the funeral service which will be held in the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home on Friday at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in the McBee Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pritchard was born July 23, 1929 in Hartsville, S.C. to the late John Charles and Ellen Gainey Hutchinson, one of nine children. She was married for 61 years to the late William Fant Pritchard. She was the mother of four children, Hank and Brenda Pritchard Irvin, Lester and Frankie Pritchard Spires, Billy and Joyce Pritchard, Bobby and Debbie Pritchard; eight grandchildren, Shannon (Michael) Overstreet, Mike Irvin, Jennifer (Mark) Jones, Jason Spires, Anthony (Christy) Pritchard, Justin (Jennifer) Pritchard, Daniel (Brandy) Pritchard and Brett Pritchard; thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Pritchard trained as an LPN and worked at Byerly Hospital. She enjoyed her nursing career which so befitted her loving caring nature. She later worked at Sonoco Products Company for a number of years.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

The family wishes to thank Jessica Hernandez and all the staff of Crescent Hospice for their compassionate care of our mother.
