After a long and painful illness, our precious son, Elias Joshua Mietzner, has passed from this world to be with his Savior he loved so much.
Our Eli was an amazing brother, son, and friend. He loved philosophy, studying theology and was an avid apologist of hermeneutics. He was highly gifted in mathematics and was pursuing his degree in Mathematics and Philosophy at Francis Marion University, where he was a Dean’s List student.
He is survived by his sister, Grace Helena Mietzner, his brother, Matthew Jai Hiracheta Jr., his mother Jodee Lynn Hutchinson, his father Joshua Allen (Maria) Mietzner, his stepfather, Matthew Hiracheta Sr., stepbrothers Darien Hill and Reginald Redmond, his grandfather Mark Mietzner, his uncle Jason (Mel) Mietzner, his aunt Julie (Russell) Thorne, his cousins Alex Mietzner, Dillan DeWeese, and Maddox Gregory, his aunt Laura (Frank) Gregory, his dear childhood friend Kyle Desmond, who was like a brother, and many many other beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robin Logan and Allen Hutchinson, and by his favorite Biblical scholar, Dr. Michael S. Heiser.
He had an amazing laugh and a marvelous heart. He truly loved God and found his peace in Him.
“This is not the end. I will only be at rest and I will see you again when the Lord returns and restores all things.”
Rest peacefully, Eli, Eli, and allow God to hold you until we can be there. My Golden Boy. My Buddy. My Sweet Boy. Our Grumpy Bear.
