Eleanor Floyd McElveen

Hartsville, S.C.

Mrs. Eleanor Floyd McElveen age 88 went home to be with her Lord and Savior at her residence on July 29 with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 4:00 at the Kelleytown Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Madaris and Rev. Cliff Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in the Kelleytown Baptist Church cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Kelleytown Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. McElveen was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Wesley Floyd and Flora Catoe Floyd. She was a faithfull member of Kelleytown Baptist church. She loved her Lord and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She worked at the Hartsville Cotton Mill and later at Roses Store.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Hazel (Buck) McElveen, Jr. Hartsville; one daughter, Sharon (Tommy) Beasley, Hartsville; two grandchildren, Brandon (Tyler) Beasley, Hartsville and Stuart (Adrienne) Beasley, Hartsville; two great grandchildren, Sara Jace Beasley, Hartsville and Mason Beasley, Hartsville; two sisters, Lorotha Bumgarner, Richland, MO and Louise (James) Atkinson, Hartsville; one brother, Leslie Floyd, Hartsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Hastings.
