Edwin Melvin "Eddie" Pate

Services of Remembrance for Edwin Melvin "Eddie" Pate will be held 2:00pm Thursday, January 11, 2023 at the Hartsville Church of God. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Patrick Dye and Rev. Gene Alexander will officiate, directed by Norton Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00-7:00pm at Norton Funeral Home.

Edwin Melvin “Eddie” Pate,  age 69, of Hartsville SC sadly left us on January 8th 2024.  Eddie was married to his wonderful wife, Chandra Flowers Pate for 36 years.  Eddie was the epitome of a hardworking man.  He never let an obstacle get in his way and overcame the impossible on numerous occasions.  He was not only a hardworking man but a man with a big heart.  He loved big and loved his family.  Eddie loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. 

Eddie leaves behind his wife Chandra Flowers Pate and three wonderful children; Justin Pate (Kristin), Brandon Pate (Jodi), Skylar Pate Spivey (Garrett) and four grandchildren Easton Pate, Colton Pate, Saylor Pate, and Valor Pate.  His sister Debbie Moore (Kent), brother Randy Pate (Linda) and along with numerous nieces, nephews, and his companion Smokey.  Special cousins Rita Alexander and Donna Martin.  

He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Faye Pate, father Melvin Luther Pate, and sister Brenda Pate.
