Edith Britt Watkins

Mrs. Edith Britt Watkins, age 84 went to her Heavenly Home on February 17. A  family led Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Sunday March 3 at 2:00 at The Gathering Place (Nazarene Church). Rev. Tom McCrea will officiate. The family will greet the friends following the service.

Edith was born in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Joseph Hampton Britt, Sr. and Ethel Mae Brock Britt. She was a faithful member of the Hartsville Nazarene Church where she served as Secretary for several years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving is one daughter, April (Chris) Saleeby, Hartsville; two sons, Donald L. (Tammy) Watkins, Hartsville and Tim (Julie) Watkins, Hartsville; two grandsons, Nicholas R. Watkins, Hartsville and Jacob S. Watkins, Hartsville; two brothers, Willis L. (Linda) Britt, Hartsville and Walter (Jenelle) Britt, Hartsville; two sister in laws, Shelia Britt, Myrtle Beach and Becky Britt, Darlington; several nieces and nephews which were a great part of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Tammy Gay Watkins; one sister, Myrtle Bedenbaugh; two brothers, Joseph Hampton Britt, Jr. and Victor Allen Britt.

Memorials may be made to the Hartsville Nazarene Church (The Gathering Place), 1909 West BoBo Newsom Highway, Hartsville, S.C. 29550.
