Funeral services for Earnestine Sanders Kern age 78, will be held Friday at 4:00 at the St. Matthews United Methodist Church. Rev. Kathy Carr will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Matthews Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kern was born in Sumter a daughter of the late Ernest and Sallie Driggers Sanders. She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church.

Surviving are, two daughters, Sandra Kern, Kershaw and Edna (Glenn) Tisdale, Florence; two sons, Jerome Kern, Bishopville and Jay (Lisa) Kern, Kershaw; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jonas Kern and a son, Wilburn Sanders.
