Earnest Spivey

Mr. Earnest Alvin Spivey, 79, of Hartsville, passed away Tuesday, December 27th, 2016, at Morrell Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 5:00 at the Lakeview Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4:00 until time for the service in the Family Life Center at Lakeview Baptist Church.

Mr. Spivey was born in Yazoo, Mississippi, a son of the late Walter & Lenora Spivey. He was employed for 40 years with A.O. Smith Water Heater Company and instrumental in their McBee, South Carolina location development. Ernie was an avid golfer and he played daily. A lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and also a member of the Shriners. He proudly served our United States Military in the branch of the Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Spivey of the home; sons: Mike (Kellie) Spivey of Hartsville, and Scott (Shelia) Spivey of Haslet, Texas; grandchildren: Kim (Matt) Evans, Jesy (Bree) Spivey, Benji (Taylor) Spivey, and Garrett (Skylar) Spivey; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mardell Cox of Fairfield, Illinois.

He preceded in death by brothers, Robert Lamar Spivey and Earl Bruce Spivey.
