Bishopville, SC Services for Mrs. Dorothy E. HopkinsHerring age 83 will be held Thursday, June 20 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville Chapel. Rev. Buddy Amerson will officiate, burial will be in Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Herring passed away June 17, 2013. She was born in Bishopville the daughter of the late Pearlie and Gracie Garrett Amerson. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Madison Industries. She was dearly loved by her family. Surviving are children, Larry (Opal) Hopkins, Bishopville, Allen Hopkins, Cayce, Rhonda Page, Columbia, Reggie (Tammy) Hopkins, Sumter, Mitch Hopkins, Lake City; brothers, Edward Amerson, Bishopville, Rev. Buddy Amerson, Hartsville; sister, Martha Frank, Sumter; 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Andy Hopkins, brothers, Ray Amerson, Carroll Amerson.
