Doris Ann Outlaw Wilds

Mrs. Doris Ann Outlaw Wilds, 90, of Bishopville, passed away Saturday evening, February 4^th, 2023, while at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center.

Her service will be conducted by the graveside of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon, February 8^th, 2023, with Reverend Ronnie Holland and Reverend Tim Stephens officiating.  The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside.  Friends are welcomed to pay their respects Wednesday morning, from 9:00 until 12:00 Noon at Norton Funeral Home in Bishopville.

A native and lifelong resident of Lee County, Mrs. Wilds was a daughter of the late William Ervin & Anna Galloway Outlaw.  Doris loved watching television, especially football.  She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and retired from Hartsville Hosiery Mill after numerous years of service. 

She is survived by a brother, James Sidney (Celeste) Outlaw of Bishopville; nieces & nephews: Rhonda (Ty) Spradley of McBee, Stanley (Paula) Outlaw of Kershaw, Tiffni (Wayne) Blackwell of Gaston, James Sidney (Candance) Outlaw, Jr. of Bishopville, Tony (Jho) Outlaw of Bishopville; also numerous great-nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James E. Wilds; son, James E. Wilds, Jr.;  siblings: Tom Willis Outlaw, Polly Boykin, Bill Outlaw; and a nephew, Tommy Boykin.

She is also survived by her dear friend, John Bolden, who was so kind and assisted her any way he could.
